An acoustic guitar player living in Whitley Bay although born in Glasgow, who has used some of his 54 years experiences in drawing sentiments for his songs, mostly about life and love observations, but some inspired by events such as the loss of United flight 93 on Sept 11; the dissappearance of Maddie McCann ; the closure of the Johnnie Walker Whiskey factory in Kilmarnock, where I played football for many years. Only found inspiration to start writing in my mid 40s after seeing a relationship breaking down and rarely write now as my time is spent performing in a duo with my son doing cover songs. Over a 8 year period, I composed and recorded at home/for friends and family about 40 songs. I've found that song writing is an entirely personal experience and getting the words, sentiments and music to fit gives a great sense of achievement
